So yeah I'd recommend the route, though there's a couple boring road sections which I guess you have to do. Longest one is leaving the Thames towpath and hooking up with the next bridleway. There's an interesting stepped bridge, which I nearly managed to ride up. I was wrecked by the end mainly I think because I'd tried to ride everything, on a 28 / 34 with no suspension. Hard on the hands, and on the knees. My freind walked a couple of the nastier rutted climbs. would be easier when all dried out.
