I ride with an SJCAM and powerbank shoved into a triangle frame bag, can recharge the camera for days from powerbank. Can record in higher resolution than the cycliq cameras. A few reviews I have seen of the cycliq have said the battery life gets shot to bits when recording in HD rather than 720p. I'd value the higher res as more chance of reading a numberplate or whatever should you need the recording.

I think its time I bought a front and rear camera. I was knocked off my bike by a group of chavs on a shared foot/bike path along the river. Plus many shocking overtakes by cars.
I'm usually on my bike for around 8 hours a day so I'm looking for cameras that have a decent battery life. The Cycliq cameras seem to be good for this? I'm not worried about the bike light aspect as I already have decent lights. I will just use them for the camera function.
Is there any other recommendations for a camera with a 6-8 hour battery life? A lot of the cheap amazon cameras seem to only have 2-3 hour battery life.
