• I think its time I bought a front and rear camera. I was knocked off my bike by a group of chavs on a shared foot/bike path along the river. Plus many shocking overtakes by cars.

I'm usually on my bike for around 8 hours a day so I'm looking for cameras that have a decent battery life. The Cycliq cameras seem to be good for this? I'm not worried about the bike light aspect as I already have decent lights. I will just use them for the camera function.

Is there any other recommendations for a camera with a 6-8 hour battery life? A lot of the cheap amazon cameras seem to only have 2-3 hour battery life.

  • Even a GoPro won't last you a whole day without getting some expensive adaptors / batteries etc (I don't know what they are but I do know my cheapo Chinese cams have always had longer battery life than my GoPro even when it was brand new).

Battery life also has something to do with the resolution, so if you go for 720p instead of full HD, it might help. Alternatively, those cheap Chinese cams from Amazon have batterries for £5 a pop, so carry a couple of spare batteries with you?

Or Dynamo hub to charge as you go?
