I think the damage/brown colour stems from lack of root space.
I just moved it to a larger pot, but I want to trim the ugly off. Do I cut entire leaves off and leave it almost bare or do I cut all the leaves in half?
It’s avocado.

It wasn't "well" before and will be stressed from being moved, so don't cut leaves off.

But there's no harm in removing the dead bits.
