You should strap a little something on the rack to reduce the twitchy handling, which will improve it considerably.

I never ridden my low trail without a front bag, even if it's empty.

Well it is not that low trail. 45mm Trail ish. It handles weird but quite nice. Bit different than my other bikes but I am thinking I might fall in love.
