you could put it in the freezer for 10mins or so and that might load it up for you.

Not sure if serious? How would that fix it?

I was just about to go out and buy a replacement actually.

It works, for a short while. I've used the freezer method on an old HTC.

If you can run it in the freezer (in a ziplock) it can give you enough time to copy stuff off a failing phone.
