A downhill skier in full flight is quite a sight, I’ll grant you. But any sport where you’ve only got one participant going at any one time feels a bit one dimensional. It differ for me in that I have skiied (badly) but could never summon the minerals to get on a luge and have a crack at that.
I think I enjoy sports where competitors can exert a bit of pressure on one another either mentally or physically.

Was Elise Christie the only Brit to stay upright today? Waste of funding but I do enjoy watching speed skating. Boarder cross is also good entertainment. Luge/skeleton/bobsleigh is nuts but all the other sports leave me a bit flat.
Cross country skiers, however, are impressive as the unsung pioneers of blood doping. 60%+ haematocrit as standard.
