What is the purpose of tabs/eyelets on a the front side of a fork dropout if there are no mid-blade rack mount points? Extra-sturdy mudguards?
As on this horrible fork of mine.
There are plenty of front racks which mount to the dropouts and the centre bolt on the fork crown.
Oh. Those tabs never looked very sturdy to me though, can they take the weight? I guess a solid plate of metal is stronger than a tube
