correct! it's one of my favourite details on the frame. will try and do some close up snaps of it when i can get some decent light. underneath the dust cap is a single allen bolt which screws against the seat post, no idea how this is sufficient to stop the seat post slipping but somehow it manages. This photo may help a little for now.

Can we see that seat post lug? Really interesting. Is that a dust cap going from round the seat pin to the bolt?
