  • Wandered along to the Ruislip Duck Pond Market, yesterday.
    It's held in the Manor Farm complex.
    (That's the Manor Farm mentioned in the Domesday Book,
    and the Great Barn is Edwardian, (as in Edward I,
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_I_of_England ),
    made with oak timber from Ruislip's Park Woods.

    Made a repeat purchase, based upon those we ate a couple weeks ago, of brownies,
    and,
    was gifted a mince pie.

    Different league to the supermarket/aldi/lidl offerings.
    Pastry much flakier, cavity full of well blended ingredients.
    30 seconds in the microwave, enough liquid to drench the inner surface of the pastry,
    but no dribbling flow as the spoon breaks in.
    9.5*/10
    (half point not awarded in case the 'perfect mincer' exists).
