Had some more of the Sainbros bakery version last night. Think I might have found the trick to warming them up... If you use a microwave, the pastry goes soggy and the mince gets so hot it almost forms a new new star.
Oven works much better but it takes longer than you'd think. At first, the pastry goes soggy but at some point it actually firms up really nicely.

The magic number seems to be 180 for 10 mins.
