Yeah cheap scales. Didn't take a huge amount of time off training either.
I'm doing endurance work but it's shorter. Before I'd be doing a couple of days a week 2hrs plus @Z2/3 (long weekend rides are currently out of the window). Now it's biggest bang for buck so Zwift 'races', sweetspot, intervals, spinny stuff but for no longer than 1:30 usually around an hour or so.
The 'races' are probably the biggest change as they're more akin to a TT effort (30-60mins at/around threshold) I'm no TT'er so not used to doing this kind of effort generally. It feels like generally I'm pushing a bigger gear at lower cadence than I would if I were properly racing too.

Oh, if you've not exercised for a while and started training again, before you gain any lean muscle, you will increase your muscle's ability to store glycogen. Glycogen binds with water = increased body weight not increased lean muscle mass.
