little update (soz for slow progress - no excuse really other than i've super busy at weekends over the last couple of months).
been prompted to finish up quickly after my CAAD8 was nicked a couple of weeks ago, and I'm also hoping to ride it to cambridge later this month.
so, this weekend I got brakes set up but hit a bit of a snag when setting up gears - despite all sorts of fiddling with min/max screws the rear derailleur can't click into the top sprocket without interfering with the spokes. my guess is either the derailleur or the dropout hanger is bent. at this point it seems sensible to tap out and drop it off at my LBS.
well chuffed with the way it's coming together despite derailleur woes, fingers crossed there will be an easy-ish fix.
is now an appropriate time to talk about bottle cages / bottles? I'm thinking a couple of these could suit nicely - not sure what suits best in terms cages.
thanks @topkek!
