Red's not really my colour and its looking tired so going to go for a Cadbury-esque candy purple powder coat with a metallic base. Powder coat for durability, price and no lugs to worry about!

and @russmeyer 's excellent Cannondale 2.8 build, It'll be SRAM 10 speed and a mixture from the parts bin / classifieds. Gum walls to set off the purple.
