Nice ride. I felt good yesterday. Like a fat Alberto Contador dancing on his pedals all the way up the Angliru.
It was a ride which took me to the limit repeatedly, but always gave back just enough to repeat over on the next hill.
Finally conquered Kidd's.
The section from Bexhill to Tun Wells was relentless.
In a show of tactics worthy of any General, I walked Brasted. Only to benefit my sprint finish you understand!
Thanks to Paul for pacing me (read not allowing my ego to let me break before him) and sorry for dropping you on Ide and not waiting - I still wouldn't have got my train anyway.
Thanks to Ivan and co for the much needed post ride recovery of bread and ale. (There was much more available, but that was all I could manage after the world's slowest time trial from the bottom of Ide to arrivee)
Season end 32.75 AAA, 61.75 FWC.
Not bad considering my first century ride came in January of this year I think.
Goals next season are a SR series and possibly RRTY. Maybe even a FAAARTY if the winter is mild.
But for now I must summon the strength to get to work. Please, I implore you, don't get your shoes repaired today. I need an easy one.
