I thought it would be jolly to celebrate my impending 60th Birthday with a social ride. Given my recent adventures, a ride out to Cambridge (but not back) seemed an obvious idea. So, next Saturday I will be riding out, leaving from The Place Cafe in Canonbury at around 09:45.
We will use the route that I used to Cambridge. It is around 101 km or even fewer miles. Riding at a social pace, we should be in Cambridge easily before 3pm and have time for lunch at the splendid Espresso Library before riding to the railway station, less than 1 km away and getting the train back to London. The King's Cross train takes but 50 minutes.
Happy to ride on my own but I would be delighted if anyone would like to join me. I will pop a precise route up in a short while.
