I believe he fell at speed, broke his rear derailleur, climbed up to CP4 single speed only to find that broken chainstay on the way down. He's still going though! Dunno if he's still SS, wont be easy to find a new Etap derailleur if it's dead.
And he has that seat post that goes forward when you go into the aerobars!
I fell for that one. About a year and lots of knee pain later, I've given up on mine.
