Here's Kristoff's day by day stats from last year.
Kristof 2016

Skinny 2017Kristof was still slightly faster over a much hillier route. Although Skinny had much worse heat to deal with.
Skinny put more back-to-back days of 400km+ together, but Kristof did some beastial days: eg day 6:
Track / Route: 388.9 / 484.3 km
Climbing: 17437.0 m
Moving: 22.6 hours, 21.4 km/hplus 3 other days with >14,000 m of climbing
But Kristof is another year older now. Skinny is 15-20 years younger, so time is on his side!

Throw in Lael Wilcox to the race also, I think she'd rise to it.

I was thinking overnight about the similarities between Skinny's ride and Evan Deutsch's win of the TABR this year. Their race pattern has been similar, while both were also refining previous year's strategies and both have seemed completely in control of what they are doing which I suppose comes from experience? It led me look into Kristof Allegaert who sounds like a force to be reckoned with from what I read!
