It seems it's now Sawyer's Hill in RP. With Box Hill no.2. Sure Hawk Hill is, or was up there.

Anyway, Strava have SF routes covered here, with cafes and everything: https://www.strava.com/local/us/san-francisco/cycling/routes. So my main description above is similar to the union of Headlands Loop and Col de Pantoll. Don't underestimate the amount of climbing, you'll start at sea level and Mt Tam is about 750 m.
There also popular areas to the west of Palo Alto and San Jose. You don't need to go to Tahoe.
