I almost forgot about this thread, but thought I'd update.
I didn't hit my head, and my injuries were minimal. There was grazing to my knees, arms, etc, but, a little more seriously, I ended up with swelling under the kneecap, causing some dislodged cartilage, causing me quite a lot of pain. I've made a full recovery now, however, but my knees do feel worse for wear. I did get fully checked out at hospital, so there is at least now a medical record for the police to reference.
The police have began an enquiry, attempting to find the car that hit me, and the driver that is responsible. Substantial damage has been done, so I will be disappointed if the perpetrator is not caught.
On the up side, however, my recovery was quick, and not all too hard. I feel lucky because I know that, had I been cycling only a little faster that day, I may not be here, right now.
Stay safe, guys, and stay as critical as one must be, of dangerous drivers.
