There are some loonies out tonight. I've just been hit by a speeding driver breaking more traffic laws than I can begin to count, l who just hit me and drove off. As I got up, bleeding, bruised and broken, a man parked up his car, and as I was about to thank him for his generosity, he yelled at me 'I hate people like you, I'm reporting you to the police for hitting that car. I hate cyclists, and so I'd be happier had you not been alive, would have served you right'.
I went to Stockwell station, and when I explained, they said that I couldn't use the tube for health and safety reasons.
Limping out of the station, I saw a crazed man attack a woman and her child, entirely unprovoked. It's apparently a 1h 46min walk home, and that doesn't factor in the knee I fucked up in the crash. I should be fine, but this is just to remind you all that no level of careful cycling, lights, helmets, etc, can protect you from joyriders with no regard for the law.
