Did I read right that 2x is the way to go for 28h lacing?
Depends which hubs and rims you're using, and what you're using them for. The recent discussion was here.

Oh, must have missed that since I searched this thread for "28h" and read through it.
I'm going for low flange hubs on R 460 DB (that's for sure now :)), so 3x should be it then.
But isn't 2x a bit stronger for bumpy roads? Especially for the front wheel as it won't see any twisting between hub and rim.
