  • Any recommendations for kitchen worktops?

Situation is that we are replacing the flooring throughout our flat then putting in a new kitchen. Not sure of the wood as of yet.

The tricky question is what material we should use for the worktop.
Wood/wood is tricky to make look good, but is fairly cheap.
    Marble is nuts expensive.
    Quartz/composite not far behind.
Laminate worktops will not be considered.

Is there something in between the cost of wood (under £500) and marble and similar which is £2000+

We aren't going to be in the place for more than 3-4 years so I don't want to overspend on the kitchen.

  • Concrete?
    Stainless Steel?
    Marble tiles could be cheaper

I don't think wood worktop and floor would look bad. Just need to be careful how you do it
