Chainstay length? I can't say I'd even considered this as an issue.
1 million standards? Basically flatmount or postmount?
Maintenance? Rebleed annually (or less), change pads less often than on a rim brake bike.
I don't get how any of this means discs aren't refined (in use or functionality) and I can't see how any of this means it's better to stay with rim brakes, especially for a #buyer who'll be onto something different soon anyway :)
