Because it's fucking awesome to ride.
I took it out on a proper MTB track and it was surprisingly confident-inspiring on extremely loose gravel and steep singletrack.
In my mind it make sense, it felt nice and fast on the road even with the G-One tyres, and doesn't feel like a compromised off road like your typical gravel bike.

downside; fork need a service every 100 hours, and clearance is way too tight, the G-One just about
