So I bought a pi 3 to use as a RetroPie machine after my friend came round with his mini NES and made me all jealous. After several hours on Mario World, I had a muck around with other stuff it could do and decided I needed to buy another one to use to run a network drive.
Open Media Vault was surprisingly easy to set up - I've now got a drive for all mine and my wife's work stuff, and another one for Media. Then I realised Plex would be a good solution so I set that drive up as a plex server and now I can finally ditch ruddy iTunes!
I'm now split between replacing my old Apple TV with a Roku or a 3rd Pi :-)
