• The Rab Alpine is pretty good for Europe, but useless for the States as it has no bug net. Personally I wouldn't bother sleeping rough over here for TABR training, its in no way representative.

  • The weather might not be, but the sensation of lying in a bag, by the side of the road will be. It's more about getting comfortable using a bivvy in as many different situations as possible so I can get to sleep quicker, pick better/warmer/cooler spots quicker, etc.

    Just had a thought - might take it to Oz with me! That's way more like the US in weather and bug terms.
