Most ugly
Supposedly a larger gap between wheel/tyre leaves less dirty air. But it's a bit like o-symmetric rings, not clear there's too much of an advantage.

It depends on the type of wheel you are using. Different types of wheels move the air differently, for some it's best to have the forks very close to the wheel to keep the air moving over the whole thing, for some it's best to have a gap to let the air escape.
