Oh shit, that is terrible to hear.
My little dog ran into the woods yesterday, I was beside myself with worry for half an hour, we were many miles from home, in a place we had never been to before. I was so relieved when she came back. The thought of her not coming back was unbearable.
How you cope with your less is beyond me.
