Yeah. Table salt will do! Maybe rock salt from a supermarket. Was 50 deg for me crossing italy last year, killed me. Maybe ride through the night and sleep when it's hot.
Problem with riding at night is that there is next to nothing open- bad enough in the daytime with circa 60 miles between any form of civilisation.
