Are you replacing your current drive? If so, it's as easy as 4 screws and a cable.

If you want to clone your existing drive first, you'll need an external bay for the new drive before you replace it. Easy tutorial: https://eshop.macsales.com/tech_center/?page=/manuals/mac/clon_data.html

I was gonna just take off the most important stuff and stick it on external, then just copy it back, got a ton of stuff I don't need on there.
