They will be fine and in the unlikely event they are not fine Shimano / CRC will back you up.
You can certainly pay less - look in CRC's clearance stuff - there's usually some OEM pairings going for dirt cheap. I have a pair of Hayes that I picked up for £38 pair, new, that I take as a backup when on mtb trips away.
Might not be shimano tho

Cheers. I will probably stick with those for this reason. There are some nice XTs in the clearance but theyre out of rear brakes. The rest are a similar price point or are hayes/clarks which id rather stay away from as Shimano seem to be the easiest to service/bleed out of all of them

Can anyone recommend some nice, not too pricey hydraulic disc brakes? Reliability is the key as they will be commuted on all year round and locked up in the street. Will these be fine?:
