restoring old shoes is a thankless task. loads of pissing about to create marginal improvements that are about as long-lasting as a manicure.

not helped by all the fake promises of products to turn back the clock, which are all just bollocks. you may get lucky with that sole bright stuff on the midsole. you've got no ozone overhead, so you should get a fuckload more high energy UV into the situation. mine went a shade lighter, then afterwards, even after a mighty wash off, went darker still in 6 months!

with the swoosh - two choices. stick a new one on there off something shit/cheap you don't care about. If you REALLY wanted to fanny about and kill some time you could swap the inside left for the outside right and vice versa.

or use the jacquard neopaque paint (another purchase) which is way more flexible than angelus and might fill in the cracks with multiple coats. Look like you have turned the swoosh into elephant print all by yourself. what kind of sneaker alchemy is this?

  • Sun light is about 3% UV, LED efficiency at 365 nm is about 5–8%, whereas efficiency at 395 nm is closer to 20% (wiki). So you could give one of these a try, if you want to go down that route.

Retrobright can also be easily made with some Oxi clean stuff, hydrogen peroxide and cornflour.
