Definitely got overexcited with ceeway order (need to find a cheap frame with oversized tubing which got frontended or has cracked drop outs - read new project).
In other words, steps 1-3 are done.
Bought the disc wheelset (DT 444d rims to entry level Shimano hubs and 160 Tektro rotors, schwalbe spikes tires as a bonus for 60€ incl postage) and Shimano Deore m615 brakes (off a new bike for 70€ incl postage). Will update with pics once the bits have arrived!
