I tried with some mini-molegrips earlier but they were too small. Managed to give my finger a good crushing instead. I think I'll get one of the DT lockings and get on to riding the thing.

:) they were a right bastard even with real size molegrips, had a t shirt wrapped around the cap but still scratched it. Proper sweating and pulling at it for ages. Was terrified I'd break the hub but they popped out eventually.
