This may be a stupid question but I'm using a 1" threadless fork with a 1 1/8" stem and a 1/8" shim. If I buy a 1" top cap and star fangled nut will the top cap be wide enough to sit against the top of the stem or is it going to be as wide as the shim, as if i was using a 1"stem ?
