Is there any substance to this claim or just urban myth?
As far as I understand this stems from the fact that the rails of the Flite saddle is moved all the way to the back of the saddle. So in order to 'counteract' this and establish a more normal (?) saddle position, you 'need' a setback seatpost.
I can certainly agree that esthetically it doesn't work (for me), but that's obviously subjective.
