So I had an interview of a photo tech job last week, got the job but they said I didn't do so well in one of the Qs - explain to students the difference between raw and jpeg and how to get from raw to jpeg and how to archive the raw files... (Ok this is actually 3 Qs)
They were all impressed with how I explained what is raw and Jpeg and the convention etc, but they weren't impressed with the archive bit... I said you need to ensure you have at least 2 copies of the the files and store them at different locations in case 1 get lost / damaged, if working in Lightroom, export all the work as a catalog with the files in a single folder so you can go back to work more in the future... What else is there to say? Cloud storage? Some specific software to archive images? Print them all out and file them in a cabinet?
So just how do you archive your raw files?
