descending is more about knowing the correct velocity to enter into a turn. and also how to use your body and position to keep control in the corners. its fine to watch videos and learn the theory but having a coach work with you on it is much better they can identify and give appropriate feedback. my partner and I have done a couple of MTB skills training sessions and they have improved our control, confidence, energy management and understanding immeasurably.

I'm not getting defensive, but people keep telling me to train and get fitter. I'm not that fat. And I descend OK; I topped 50mph down Huez.
