  • Seeing as a flat mount fork will still require an adapter, why don't you just use their standard post mount? I can't see any mechanical or aesthetic reasons not to, really.
    And here's an idea for you: Get the adapter painted to match the fork and it will look super clean.

  • Perhaps I'm missing something regarding a flat mount fork and how it differs to post mount.

    Aesthetically I imagined flat mount would be better looking and wouldn't require an adapter if it were to be used with a flat mount hydraulic disc system.

    P.S. That was the plan with the paint too (if we go down the adapter route)!

  • flat mount requires the bolts to go into the caliper from underneath. so unless you have holes straight through the fork leg, you have to bolt the caliper to the adapter and then the adapter to the fork.

    It's probably cool for rear calipers, but I honestly think it's inferior for (carbon) forks. (post mount is a bad enough idea in itself, but that's another story...)
