For sale is a 54cm CTC (56cm CTT) Faggin steel road bike in fluro yellow, it is branded up with Promonet which is a French bike shop in Macon, it also has decals on saying 'Champions de France sur Piste 1986' which I can only imagine may have been a promotional bike for the season or potentially even for Yvon Madiot who won the championship that year! who knows?!
There are a few chips on the frame from it being locked up, before I got it :( and also on the rear right seatstay but the chrome is in all round good condition and there is no rust or dents in the frame.
Size wise im 5'10.5" and with the saddle in its current position its a comfortable riding position, I thought it'd be too small as I usually ride a 56cm CTC but its not a bad fit with the current stem.
Headset: OMAS Italy lightweight alloy - pros choice in the 70's
BB: TBC (will take the crank off tonight)
Hubs: Maillard Road low flange HelicoMatic 7spd
Rims: Unknown alloy
Crankset: Stronglight 93 170 factory drilled chainrings, currently one on ebay for £125 without the drilled rings!
Pedals: Mikashima unique road
Seatpost: no name but looks like a stronglight, nice black infills
Saddle: please note the cinelli volare is not included, I have a number of options which I will list shortly.
Brake levers: Dia Comp
Brake calipers: Gipiemme White Laser
Front derailleur: Shinamo 600
Rear derailleur: Shimano 600
Gear levers: Simplex Retrofriction - the best friction shifters money could buy!
Stem: Cinelli 1A 120mm
Handlebars: Cinelli Criterium C5-40
All round a really nice piece of Italian 80's steel with a mix match of components but all good quality. Ive had it out for long rides and its a pleasure and gets a lot of attention.
Im looking for £350 cash is a great price, the frame on its own would go for £250+ and the chainrings along would fetch 40 quid on the bay! I'm in Hoxton for a viewing if needed. Cheers.
