@Gandalf: my wife is happy when I'm back home for lunch so out the door by 7.00 is more than OK. ;-)
@Howard I was only doubting on which one to build up to a modern bike, not doubting on doing the race or not. Even our plans of subscribing for (the draw for) the 2016 Maratona dles Dolomites won't interfere as the Maratona is first weekend of July (and by the time it's the Cristalp, my wife will have forgotten I was already out for 5 days that summer).
