okay that's more like it. No, without front suspension, I'm not even starting in that race. I've done several 5 till 7 hr races and that's doable.
It's already clear that this will be a longer term project (although I want to start riding it by next March so I get the right feeling on the bike).
Have you done longer rides (on mountainous terrain) with 1x11?

Not rigid, the forks are XRC 100 RL and are seriously light. You can get lighter, but budget was a consideration.
I have done four hours plus on a hardtail, but I would not fancy your ride without front suspension... even though the bikes look cool as they are.
