So in the past few months Nottingham and Derby have been waging war in terms of awesome new things for cyclists.
Derby's new velodrome is perfection.
The pump track down the road from it is hilarious fun.
The NDCXL is grass-roots fantastic.
The local race scene is massive, well organised and friendly.
The Peak District is your door to the perfect world of MTB or road fun.
The roads are quiet, there are bike lanes literally everywhere, many completely segregated, and in general, people are too damn friendly (bar at commute time).
