Found a nice looking Colnago Super that was sold as a mixture of original stuff and things of more recent date (and inferior quality). The idea is to keep the original parts (Campa Record) and replace the more recent ones by era-correct parts.
This is how I found the bike on the internet: most parts are Campa (Nuovo) Record but wheels are Shimano Exage/Mavic MA40 and crankset and brakelevers are Shimano 600 Tricolore. I think the original stem has been replaced by a shorter one as the length of this one (I think 70 mm) doesn't match the 57 cm frame. Bars are nice Cinelli Giro d'Italia but way to small for me (40 cm CC, I need at least 42).
Dismantled, gave it a good clean and added some of the parts I already found to recplace those of more recent date. Record crankset is on its way.
Forks are pretty OK but not 100% as I want them to be so maybe I'll have them rechromed. Thing is: how will ultra shiny forks go with the frame that has the patina of a 35 year old.
