Why not skim through the tyre thread and make your own decisions?
Also, make sure your tyres/tubes are seated correctly and there's no grit/damage to the wheels.
I had blizzards for 2years with no punctures so maybe user error?
Almost all tyres will last a long time without punctures if you run correct pressure, don't slam into curbs/potholes/glass and regularly check them for imbedded stuff. I've currently got well over 1000 miles on some 20+ yr old michlins with no protection at all!
