Self-entitled "my morals are better than yours, so the world should revolve around me" arseholes. Kicked off with "gay cake row" which you may have seen as it hit every national paper.
The short of it:
A bakery refuses to bake a cake with "support gay marriage". They took the order, took the money and then phoned the gay man "no we can't do it, cos we're religious (note that a shitload of Christians came out saying no we don't agree with this).
Then they end up playing the victim while they make a fuckload of money from the Evangelical Alliance supporting them and "Christians" like them are totally in power here while gay people still get a lot of stigma and can't marry while they can in the rest of the UK.
The shop is open on Sunday, don't pay any overtime to their staff AND are formally convicted of discrimination by the Belfast court and yet, yet SOMEHOW their morals are better so no the state should not tell business to just serve everyone equally.
And they get support all over cos, yes, baking a cake for a happy occasion that's not your cuppa is totally the same as being forced to support the BNP (I shit you not...that's one of the comparisons that were made).
