Last year's race is on YouTube. I watched it earlier and it's like Wacky Races. Completely bonkers.
I would not like to do it. Those surfaces are dreadful.

This looks great.
I've been doing a bit of riding on these types of roads lately. The Cotswolds are full of them and they're dry right now. It's a lot of fun (on a cross bike).
