Bomb disposal experts with experience in Afghanistan and Northern Ireland removed the German bomb from a carefully-dug trench before it was loaded into a steal container alongside tonnes of sand for removal at around 6pm on Tuesday.

I don't think the Germans would lodge a very strong claim to ownership.
