You really couldn't make this shit up.
I've got the day off as I'm heading back to NZ to see my terminally ill mum. I haven't been sleeping much. Riding down about to head into the New Cross one way bit to take the bike back to the shop when a large lorry stopped suddenly leaving me crashing into the back of it then hitting the deck ripping bar tape, busted lip, scratched rear derailleur scratched saddle etc. Truck took off as I guess having a cyclist crash into your rear doesn't even register. Stood dazed on side of road. Rode to bike shop. Left bike there, no money for Train so am typing this from the back of an Uber on the way home to look in the mirror. I want to cry. Bike shop is getting new tyre, pads and top assembly of headset.
